This course introduces principles and methods of cataloging and classification. Students have chances to gain a beginner' knowledge and skills of cataloging and classification. This course is offered all year round.
This course is focused on deepening understanding of cataloging with multimedia objects.
The purpose of the course is to gain an understanding of the professional and ethical concerns of special librarianship as well as special libraries’ historical growth and development. Four types of "special" libraries, corporate, law, medical,  and government are generally featured and explored.  This course is offered in the Fall semester.
This course explores topics and skills related to digital preservation practice in today's cultural heritage institutions, namely libraries, museums, and archives. This course is offered in the Fall Semester. This course has been designated as an academic service-learning course on registration with the university.
  This course investigates the representation, organization, and retrieval of information using various forms of metadata. Students will examine, analyze, and evaluate key metadata standards (e.g. Dublin Core, EAD) and their use in digital projects for representing , organizing, and preserve information. This course is offered each Spring semester. 
  This course introduces topics related to health information and health sciences librarianship.
